We have Brown and Battie returning. Horn has scrubbed USF from his twitter and Weaver is all ready gone. Hopefully we get a homerun hire to bring in better talent or keep what we have.

Yeah, I don't see a significant bump in recruiting unless we get Primetime. Chadwell will get some talent, but I doubt we get any real surprises.

Just like with everything else online, you have to check multiple sources. Nowadays, anyone can create a twitter account that looks like a news source and say anything they want without any oversight.

I listened this morning and I think they were getting hassled by some listeners for not showing more love to USF despite us being in the toilet and a subject no one wants to talk about on the radio for more than 2-3 minutes.

Sadly, the main reason I attended the game. Marlon and Quinton are now back together again on my bookshelf at home. I just need a Tyree McCants, MVS and a Rodney Adams and my set will be complete. The UCF fans did not disappoint. We had a guy across from our section in the first half yelling UCF at random people and pointing at his belly. The second half, he sat on his hands quietly without a peep until the game was finally decided and then started talking trash again. Big words from a guy who had a custom embroidered UCF blue jean jacket that was 3 sizes too small.

That was going to be my retirement plan if I won them.....now I'm back at work today....

Speaking of incompetence, anyone else at the game notice 75% of the prizes for "fan appreciation" went to the lower bowl 100 sections? They teased the fact you needed to wear green to win and then just randomly picked ticket numbers for winners. I knew I wouldn't win anything, just an observation.

I'm guessing they know and just waiting for conference games to finish before announcing.

Pretty sure UF, FSU and Miami would do the same if a Florida school tried to get into their conference. But you go on holding a grudge if that keeps you warm at night.

When you see a thread is total nonsense by a brand new member, can't you just lock or delete? It's probably a hassle to have to moderate everything. I realize you have better things to do than sorting trolls.

Why the animosity? Chill, you're leaving for a better conference and you have all those titles. Do we still upset you that much?? I always hear the Genshaft excuse for your anger, but would UF vote against a Florida school joining the SEC or FSU and Miami against a school joining the ACC? Of course they would. Talk about revisionist history. When we first got a team, UCF demanded that we play them immediately like we owed them something and got butt-hurt because we refused to schedule them the first few years. Year after year, we heard about how you were going to beat us when we played. When we finally played you and the result didn't go your way, you flipped trash cans and keyed cars on the way out of the parking lots. You had football 18 years before we did and you should have been better, but you weren't and you couldn't deal with it. Congrats on your success. You've won titles and even a national championship You've been around longer and have had more success. We've been irrelevant the last 5 years, not sure where the "talking down to UCF" comes in. Hard to talk down when we're on the bottom....good luck in your new conference!

He's been through a lot this season. He deserves to be on a defense that plays as hard as he does. Wish he would have stayed, but I can understand wanting a change.

And I would hope any coach they hire is smart enough to watch "game film" and recognize the talent.

Good coaches will always move up the ladder to bigger / better schools and conferences. Being in a better conference makes you a little safer from this because the talent pool and money is fairly equal for all members. Until we finish the new stadium and somehow get into a better conference, we're destined to this rinse and repeat cycle of either firing bad coaches every few years or having good coaches leave every few years. The only way to hold on to the talent when a good coach leaves is raising NIL money to pay them to stay.

From the rumors last night that Kelly was in Myrtle Beach, I would have said Chadwell, but with Fickell leaving Cincinnati, maybe they are interested in Chadwell too.
