  1. Oops - meant to say “Music to my ears”… I was a Geography Major, not an English Major. Go Bulls
  2. Agree! There has been more than a few years (usually when FB and MBB aren’t doing well) when WBB has kept me motivated to be a USF fan. Glad to see Oviedo State ranked so low. While their previous coach won games, I found their team to be obnoxious, arrogant, and unsportsmanlike (a common theme for UCF athletics and much of their fan base). Looking forward to sweeping them this year. Going to their house and beating them has a special satisfaction. They are rebuilding; we reload. Kudos to CJF for his continued winning program. CJF mentioned to me at an event a few months ago that this should be a really good team, and that he expects many games to be over by halftime. Music to my years… Go Bulls
  3. Agree! We need guys like Q, Augie, and Thor on the coaching staff. Guys that are intense, passionate, from the area (or state) with local connections and bleed green and gold. Got to try something different… Go Bulls
  4. If he’s out for the year, would he be eligible for the play next year? I understand that he’s a graduate student, and may just want to get started with his post-college life. My wife is a Gaither grad, so he’s one of the guys we cheer just a little bit more for… Go Bulls
  5. Since this is hypothetical…Is Mike Alsott still coaching at Northside Christian? Alsott as the HC, Thor as the OC, and Augie as the DC. Why not? Go Bulls
  6. Agree - No having to deal with TSA staff is reason #275 why we need an OCS. Not allowing the see-thru bags that used to be OK is just the latest issue…inconsistent enforcement of this new rule is frustrating. Would seem to me that plenty of students would be available to work concessions an the OCS. As an Army ROTC cadet in the late 80s, I was “voluntold” to go work concessions at the Sun Dome. Actually wasn’t too bad, got to see Stevie Nicks backstage once. She definitively looked different in person… For the OCS, another good option would be to use the same firm that provides the staff for the Yuengling Center. Professional for the most part, and many of them have been there long enough to where you develop relationships. Can’t wait for 2026 - Go Bulls
  7. Glad to read that Sam Barrington is still part of the broadcast team. He bleeds green and gold, but doesn’t hesitate to call out those that need it. Go Bulls
  8. Very sad to read about this. I followed her on FB, and her professional career up in Wisconsin seemed to be going well. It was so much fun to watch her and Micah Kroll (The Tampa Two) play, which was not very often. To me, watching them play is what college athletics is all about - kids that know they aren’t going pro, and rarely got to play, yet worked hard and gave their all for their team and their school. RIP Neena Go Bulls
  9. I just completed this quiz. My Score 13/100 My Time 159 seconds
  10. Agree! Lots of talent here, and their is too much UCF presence here in Polk. Walked into a Publix here in LW a couple days ago. Saw UCF balloons displayed but no USF balloons- **** near lost it… Go Bulls
  11. Hoping that Head Coaches Thor (at Clearwater, Lake Region Alum) and Auggie (now at Seminole, Northeast Alum) can start a pipeline of recruits to USF. Go Bulls
  12. I thought that JK’s tweet was great practice for Oviedo CC fans to complain/whine/freak out for when we open the OCS (which I have no doubt will be better) GoBulls
  13. Also only worth two cents, but I heard the same thing from someone in Athletics. My understanding is that the Big 12 didn’t like our current revenue stream that we get (or don’t get) from being at Ray Jay.
  14. Coach is very confident. He told me that he expects most of the games to be over by halftime. Music to my ears… After the past few years, I’m ready for some blowouts. Especially looking forward to going to Oviedo State’s house and winning by 40-50, like we did in the past. Go Bulls
  15. Like the idea - we could alternate the names of the mascot between “Fletcher” and “Fowler”
  16. Drove by the IPF this afternoon. Very impressive; felt proud to be a USF grad. Go Bulls
  17. Bogan is my favorite. However, I want to give special recognition to the current number holder. Garrett Reynolds is from Lake Wales, which is where I reside. Some good football players have come from this town, and I look forward to seeing more of him in the future. Go Highlanders and Go Bulls
  18. Preeminent academic status vs. a lazy river? I’ll take stronger academics. Then again, with an enrollment of 70,000+ students, does UCF care about academic standards? Go Bulls
  19. Best news I’ve heard today. Didn’t like her, but I respected the fact that she rebuilt Oviedo State’s program. I didn’t think that she would stay there for a long time, as her resume attests. I just expected Danny White to hire her at Tennessee first chance he had. This is why I like CJF - he bleeds green and gold, and is in it for the long haul. Go Bulls
  20. We’re going to need a new Provost soon, so maybe he would take the job. Regardless, I like that Law is emphasizing the OCS. Quick story about the OCS - I was at a banquet this past weekend, and I had a conversation with an Accounting professor from Webber International University. It’s a small school (700 students) located in Babson Park, just outside of Lake Wales in Polk County. They have had a football team for about 15-20 years that plays in the NAIA. After sharing a football stadium with Warner Southern University, Lake Wales High School, and youth football programs, Webber recently opened an OCS (although calling it a stadium might be a stretch). What caught my attention, and the reason why I’m mentioning this, is that she told me that since they opened their OCS, there has been an increase in school spirit, and alumni have been more engaged. I was impressed that an academic made this comment. To me, it’s a good example of why USF needs an OCS. I think that Law can get it done. Go Bulls
  21. I previously advocated for LTG Talley, and believe that he would have been a good choice. He would have smart enough to offer Law a high ranking position, and let her do fundraising/get the OCS built. However, she bleeds green and gold, and will do well. Maybe we can nickname the new OCS the “House Of Law”? lol Go Bulls
  22. I was wondering about the handshakes - thanks for the info. Typical UCF behavior, unfortunately. While I’ll acknowledge that she has rebuilt that program, I’ll be glad when they leave the conference. Would be happy if we never played them again in any sport. Of course, that would then annoy them, which would make me even happier… Go Bulls
