The presence of the Longhorn Network is likely complicating any effort to create a B12 network. 2. Conferences are not always great at forward thinking (as evidenced by how the old Big East was mismanaged). Everyone in the B12 seems happy as a pig in slop that they had the highest per-team payout of any conference last year. However, that was before the start of the SEC network. With the B1G 1st and 2nd Tier media rights up for renewal in about two years...plus the B1G adding two new markets to their network, the B12 will soon be in a far distant 3rd place in terms of revenue. Once they realize that, they may (or may not...who knows) decide that expanding, creating a B12 network, and adding the revenue of a championship game is the best way to keep up with the revenue of the SEC and B1G. Very good points.

Why add a team when you can change the rules. . . . . . again.
