to all the dark siders out there, you can SHOVE IT.  there is nothing you can say about this team that is bad.  coach mac did something that seth couldn't do and that was beat a top 20 team.  whether you want to admit it or not, this was a huge win for the program, and especially since there were some huge recruits in attendance tonight.  huge win for the program and huge blow to the dark side, come on over to our side and support the team and coach mac, its never too late to become a BULL again

To be fair, you need to qualify that by saying "something that seth couldn't do and that was beat a top 20 team while he was here". He's done it before and after his stint at USF. The impressive thing about CRM's win is that he did it with players who didn't grow up dreaming to be Bulls ..........   ;D

Great post!!!

I am going to go further and call out the community on this one. Look, USF needs the support from all of you in the community. Please give USF athletics a chance and then you will be hooked. College sports is a chance for you to actually feel like you are part of the team. It is not like pro sports in where you have a lot of spoiled athletes that wont even acknowlege you because you dont make their kind of dough. Do you actually think a fan can carry off a star player on the BUCS or Lightning like the fans carried off Brian Swift?? It is college athletics in where you get to be more of a part of something special. It is about supporting your college and being a true part of the winning and losing. There really are no other events that fans make a difference like a college event. Come out and show your support on 4/16 for the Spring game and be part of something you can be more proud of then just rooting for some spoiled millionairs.

It's only a big win if the program can build on this victory. Regardless of who is the coach. I'll enjoy it for tonight and throughout the offseason but we need whole lot more of these kinds of wins. From this point on I want to see more steps forward and less humilating losses against teams like Texas Christian.

I hope this win help us start building an identity b/c we really don't know what kind of team we have two years into the CRM era. Is it the team that was unprepared at least half a dozen times  this season or is it a team that is only a few buckets away against UAB, Memphis and Marquette of being a 0.500 in C_USA?

CRM enters a critical year next year. I could care less who coaches the team as long as he has us going in the right direction. I am hoping that this win can help CRM turn the corner in recruiting talent for the BE.

Easy there.  There is PLENTY wrong with this team and there were some horrid losses this year.  This win was a good one, but doesn't automatically make some of the embarrassments go away.

BTW it's funny how everytime this team gets a win there are multiple posts telling the "dark side" to "shove it".  Pretty lame.

BTW why must we bring our former coach into the conversation after WE get a good win?  The guy has his new team leaps and bounds ahead of where we currently are so I don't think you really want to be making that comparison.

beastie... i completely agree... this has nothing to do with our previous coaches... this is about our program NOW and in the future... the past is past.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
