Summer League doesn't really mean anything.

Dojo may finally be forced into being given a chance. The coach there, Carlisle, is renouned for not playing young guys but he doesn't have many options left. This could be Dojo's year to shine...

As noted in a forum from the above link:

DoJo always shines in Summer League and DLeague. He just can't make it over the Carlisle hates to play young guys obstacle preventing him from becoming a good NBA rotation player and trade bait.

Reports are that Mavs have signed OJ Mayo so that won't help DoJo if true...

That could spell trouble, but could still see Dojo being ok b/c w/ Mayo who knows what you are going to get.

Mayo doesn't help matters but it's not too big of a blow.

Dominique Jones stuffs box score in summer win

By Tim MacMahon

Dominique Jones' dominance of the Las Vegas summer league continued with his best all-around performance so far in Friday’s 78-65 win over the Hornets.

Jones, the guard entering his third season, stuffed the box score with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting, five rebounds and nine assists.

The assists total is especially noteworthy for Jones, a 2010 first-round pick who played sparingly in his first two NBA seasons. The Mavs are trying to turn the 6-foot-5 Jones into a point guard, but he was much more effective as a scorer than a distributor in the first three games this summer, when he had 11 assists and 10 turnovers. Jones had three turnovers Friday night.

The Mavs’ two second-round picks also had solid performances as Dallas improved its summer record to 3-1 despite first-round guard Jared Cunningham being sidelined by a strained hamstring.

Small forward Jae Crowder had a game-high 18 points along with four rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Center Bernard James had nine points, eight rebounds, five blocks and three steals.
