I really don't know what the Big East was thinking when they turned that down. You're not up to date ... That deal was only if we had invited the Notre Dame of the South located in Oveido. Without them, the deal dropped to $1.5 million per school and free Disney Channel for all the schools' campuses. ESPN did ask that UCF be #10 for the deal. In doing so, the 10 team big east at the time would have been offered the big $1.4 Billion deal. The Big East decided they could shop around for a deal like the PAC 10, instead. UCF was a part of that negotiation. Believe what you want...but this happend. who told you this? you don't know how these media contacts work. ESPN would have simply said here is the deal without UCF and he is the escalator clause if you do add them. no way a billion dollar tv deal is halted by adding a no name school that doesn't get huge ratings Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
