At USF Cb, pretty much any of the other schools he is a slot, I like him a lot as slot but USF is not a good fit for him on offense.

Screw our academic committee

I'm told that #Rutgers freshman WR Janarion Grant is "one of the most explosive players ever to come to Rutgers". Will play from game 1.

Where did you see that the academic committee had anything to do with this?  They don't get involved unless a player commits

I am sure staff knows what will or won't fly with them. Staff passed on Grant because they believed he couldn't get in according To JN. Didn't arrive at that opinion in a vacuum.

So, you're saying that the committee didn't even get a chance to review him?  He must have been way off for the coaches to not even try.

And let's be honest, even with our committee, the standards aren't that high.  This is college after all and they are still more lenient on football players than they are the general student population.

I think most would consider Rutgers a better school academically than USF.  Don't blame the academic committee, he didn't even get a chance to face them, the kid liked Rutgers and decided it was the best place for him.

Unfortunately BW has it right on this one.... Grant wanted to come to USF... our staff was advised by the committee that he wouldn't get in so they went in a different direction. This was the academic committee from day one.

Do they read minds?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
