For WVU to take Grant as a CB, we would have to miss on a few prospects first, imo, with Lamar Robbins out of Miami who I believe he has WVU first and an Auburn comitt Jahmere Irvin-Sills out of Maryland who everyone believes will flip rather soon.

WVU is looking a possibly 2 WRs where I actually this at better at with Tyler Boyd out of Pittsburgh as 1 and is a must need. I would put this kid at slot, and there is a few other prospects for WVU that might be ahead of him, like Brian Lemelle out of PA and a couple of committed kids out of Texas that are committed to other schools.

Anyone have his final stats, I know he only played last 4-5 games due to injury but this kid is starting to interest me after watching more of his videos last year. Reminds me alot of TY Hylton out of high school

Just north of Tampa, in neighboring Pasco County, three-star Rivals.com athlete Janarion Grant still waits for the phone call.

"When Skip Holtz left, that was the end of that," said Tom McHugh. "We haven't heard from them. It's strange how it works."

Strange, but a part of what is today's collegiate recruiting world.

Grant is an athlete on both sides of the ball. Possessing quickness, arm strength (he lined up at quarterback) and leadership, the 5-9, 165 pd Grant wants to play for USF - if it's in the cards.

Willie Taggart's staff has called either Grant or McHugh.

"He's enteraining the colleges that are recruiting him," McHugh said. "The guy who was recruiting him at Oklahoma State is now at Houston."

Grant will not be on the previously scheduled trip to Stillwater, Okla. this weekend. Instead, he'll be planning a trip to Houston.

Grant has offers from the Cougars, Kentucky, Rutgers and East Carolina - along with Houston and Oklahoma State.

Meanwhile, McHugh says whoever gets Grant may get a package deal. RB David Emmanuel is also looking to stay close to home - after Rutgers pulled its offer.
