Extra little perk for our recruits.....hey we do not know what's to come of our current conference and its aq status, but we will offer you a Mac if you come play for us. A little levity. The University most likely went with the Macs based on popularity and interest level over pcs. Plus nice for recruiting, albeit low on the totem pole of benefits. It was actually a program co-sponsored by Mac (to use iTunes U), Verizon, and the NCAA all chipping in on costs.. We were/are one of the first universities to do so.
