With the confusion I saw at times out there, I have a hard time calling it the "smartest" we'ver ever played ... I think it was one of the more disciplined, though. There were a couple of times we could have taken some late hits and gotten penalized for it ... although, on that slide Rees did down near the goal line, we were lucky our two guys almost killed each other instead of contacting the qb.

And on the Miller/Griffin bubble screen, it's kind of hard to tell who the play was to because both acted like it was for them ... I'd like to think it was supposed to go to Griffin based on blocking abilities.

It looked to me and my mind reading abilities that the play was designed to go to Miller.  I do agree Miller is generally the better blocker, though.  Anyway, it looked like Griffin was setting up to block, saw the pass and kind of reflexively reached for it then remembered he was supposed to be blocking.  Those things will happen, especially in week 1 on the road.

I agree this was our most disciplined game as opposed to smartest.  Either way, I really like that brand of football.
