Doubtful Gruden will be the coach.

It is believed the snag that hit in talks does not have to do with Gruden's compensation, but instead has to do with salaries for assistant coaches - including his brother Jay, who was slated to be offensive coordinator - and buyout terms.

It is not certain when Hocutt and Gruden will speak again, but the UM search will continue with other candidates entering the picture.

Among those candidates is believed to be Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen, Texas Tech coach Tommy Tubberville, Connecticut coach Randy Edsall, Temple coach Al Golden and former UM assistant coach Marc Trestman, now with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes.

You really have no real clue that is the case. He allowed the Miami AD to talk to him but it was never serious. Whoever is giving you all of these false reports has to be laughing behind your back. Like I said before, no way Gruden is Miami's next coach.  You have literally put every possibility out there, not a whole lot of real insight whatsoever.

Every credible sports writer outside of Miami is saying Gruden to Miami is ridiculous. If they got Mullen, that would be very good for them.

So... What does Brett say is gonna happen?

Let me put it this way ... It's a lock Gruden's there.   :D

Brett is a very good reporter that breaks alot of stories. Just because he took down your hero dosent mean he does a bad job.

LOL ...Name one legitimate story your boyfriend has "broken" other than Slapgate ... and my definition of break does not include stories leaked out early.

He broke the TCU to the Big east Story.

::) ...You obviously didn't grasp my meaning of "breaking a story". He got fed a story leaked out a little early .... whoop-di-freaking-do. If that is great reporting to you, fine ..... but I would think most have higher standards.

He deserves a Pulitzer for the story on Jimmy.

Hilarious

I don't think any of those do it, immediately, for the fanbase except maybe Trestman ...
