Obviously there are differences in the schools and sizes and what not, but Miami barely broke 40,000 for their game against VaTech last weekend.

I know, Miami has always been baffling. There are also some sports teams that could probably all of a sudden suck and still get great crowds. There are no doubt exceptions each way, but not many, and USF's not one one them. You have to have won a few conference titles or something like that before there's any evidence your fans and team are some sort of exception.

And before someone responds with some silly example of a team that has won a few conference titles, I'm obviously not saying there's just some specific threshold you meet and then *poof* you sell out every game. It just happens. Or, in some cases, it doesn't. I hope it does for USF, I think it can, but I know why it hasn't yet and I don't even think about it except for the nonstop barrage of complaints about it on this message board. There's nobody here that doesn't want the stadium to be packed for every game, but we don't all want to hear the whining all the time. It often drowns out more intelligent and worthwhile conversation, including from the very people do the whining.

I'll leave it at that, I've definitely written enough on this subject.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
