half the recruits we have listed at W/R have 4.5 -4.6 40 yd dashes.  All the 4.3 and 4.4's you see are wrong anyway.  4.6 is still fast and much more realistic than the 4.4's which is michael johnson fast.

Put him under TE if you prefer. I think Miami planned on using him as a TE, but I'm not sure what our plans are.

Rivals also has Gordon listed at TE, but in fact he is going to be a Defensive End

Well, if you put Hill at TE you fill up another empty box!  ;D

yeah but if they list him at 4.6 it usually means closer to 4.8...

and I guess this is the first time i have actually looked at it, usually dont even bother looking at the others since like you mentioned they are complete BS anyways

either way I think he would be used as a pass catcher... he isnt big enough to be used as a regualr blocker on the line, so he might play TE, but he would release or motion out to slot 90% of the time

Now GROTHE is a helluva kicker. I'm not sure about Hill though.

Hill is the #1 ATHLETE in Florida and you can probably add him anywhere. LOL

Howie - Having seen Grothe play on a few occasions he is a very good kicker for someone who plays QB but if you compare him to full time kickers he doesn't fit the bill.

I agree. He'll be able to pooch punt the ball like Blackwell though which is what Leavitt wants and needs from him.

Velcro...In case anybody questions you putting Cedric Hill in as TE, you can tell them that the USF release on him NOW says, "Hill played receiver, tight end and defensive end while at Valdosta and he projects as a tight end at USF."

Maybe they read this board and needed to fill in THEIR empty TE Box too!  ;)

ha ha, they had to fill their TE box!   The way our offense went the last half of the year we really used the TE effectively.  If we want to continue to do that then we need much more athleticism at that position then Ruegger.  Cedric Hill's around 6-3 210lbs+ with a frame to add a lot of weight.  Luckily he's coming in for spring ball, and maybe could get himself up to 240 or pounds by fall.  A real dynamo catching TE, something this offense could use.  How many times did we see Ruegger catch a decent pass then use that 5.0 speed to get a few yards.  Replace that with Hill's sub5 speed, and add some shake and moves.  Could be a dangerous weapon.
