Help:

There is a recent article mentioning Ruffin in the Miami Herald, but I'm not a subscriber. Perhaps, someone who is registered can copy and paste it here:

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/10326655.htm

nothing relevant, just talking about the HS football playoffs

Velcro.. There is another QB transfer, Patrick Carter, you may want to add, but I don't think he would "count" towards this year's class, since he would have to sit out a year. I could be wrong about that. Maybe he should get an asterisk with appropriate footnote.

the Bulls have some intriguing possibilities, including Georgia Tech transfer Patrick Carter, of Lakewood, and Reserve (La.) East St. John's Ryan Perrilloux, rated the nation's No. 1 high school quarterback.

USF is among several schools Carter is considering.

``I'd love to play for Coach [Jim] Leavitt,'' Carter said. ``He was the first coach I contacted [after leaving Tech]. He told me I would have to compete with some great athletes [at USF], but said the best players will play. That's all I want.''

Carter also is considering several other schools and said he will not make a decision until after National Signing Day to get an idea what schools are deep at quarterback.

A redshirt freshman, Carter was Tech's leading punt returner (8.4 yard average). He will have to sit out the 2005 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining. At Lakewood, he was rated among the nation's top 20 QB recruits.

Perrilloux, rated the nation's top QB by at least two recruiting services, told The Times- Picayune of New Orleans he's considering taking an official visit to USF. Perrilloux verbally committed to Texas, but may be wavering after UT assistant Michael Haywood, instrumental in Perrilloux's recruitment, recently was named offensive coordinator at Notre Dame.

``If Ryan wants to change his mind, that's fine,`` Phillip Breaux, Perrilloux's stepfather told The Times-Picayune. ``He doesn't owe [Texas coach] Mack Brown a thing.``

The Bulls also have a commitment from Lake Gibson's Matt Grothe, the Class 4A Player of the Year; Auburn transfer Courtney Denson, a SuperPrep All-American, will be eligible this fall after sitting out last season. Starter Pat Julmiste also returns.

According to Insiders Kendrick Stewart is now a FSU verbal.  :'(

http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=359&p=8&c=1&nid=1233121

He WAS scheduled to take his last official vist to USF on 1/28. I'm not sure if he still will, like Trump is doing even though he committed to Miami.

It seems a shame he couldn't wait until after he made all his visits before announcing, but then again it gives us more time to find someone to replace him.

Velcro...I'm not sure what the policy is for keeping Stewart on the list now that he's a commit. You might want to leave him there for the time being, to see if he will still visit. Although Trump is no longer on there and he's visiting. Do what you think is best with both names.

Phillips cancels visit to UF: Glades Central senior safety Randy Phillips, rated one of the state's top defensive backs, was "impressed" by the home visit he received from new Florida coach Urban Meyer last week, but Phillips said he has decided to cancel his scheduled visit to Gainesville this coming weekend because he wants to play in the Outback all-star game.

"This is for fun," Phillips said of the annual game that showcases the area's top seniors. "It's an all-star game, so you can't be too serious, but I'm going to dance and put on a show."

Miami coach Larry Coker has to be glad to hear of Phillips' decision to shun the Gators since Phillips has made an oral commitment to UM. But oral commitments are non-binding, and Phillips and Glades Central teammate Rashaad Duncan caught a flight to Tampa following the Outback luncheon Friday afternoon for an official visit to South Florida. Phillips said he also plans to visit FSU the weekend of Jan. 28.

Phillips is already on the board.

VELCRO...Add, DT Rashaad Duncan who is a Pitt verbal.

Velcro: Add W/R Frantz Hardy. Since he's a four star JUCO maybe he should be added also to best additions list.

He's supposedly visiting USF this week according to free blurb on Rivals:

Video: 4-Star Receiver Hardy Quick Clip

by Rivals.com

Butler County Communinty College receiver Frantz Hardy was scheduled to visit Tampa this weekend to learn more about the Bulls. Watch this new video of the Rivals 4-star prospect . . . [more]

Originally from Booker T. Washington high school in Miami, FL, Hardy was red-shirted in 2003 and is on schedule to graduate in December of 2004. Will have three years to play three.

Velcro...You may want to add Chris Chancellor based on this report:

Chris Chancellor visited Florida State during the weekend. He has also been to Rutgers and Oklahoma State and is looking at North Carolina, Florida or South Florida for his final visit.

Here is his profile:

There are other notes of interest in that article concerning some players who are or were considering USF. One of them, Gerrod Sinclair, committed to Spurrier. Another player, Brent Davis, said he will choose between USC and N.C. State. Also, some mentions of visits to USC by players who are considering us as well.

Velcro...Remember to add W/R Cedric Hill (enrolled) to commit list. I'm not sure if he will count in the 2005 recruiting rankings. Maybe someone from Rivals would know.

you sure he is a WR?? Rivals lists him under TE from last years recruiting and a 4.6 40yd sounds more like a TE
