I recieved this this morning about one of our own...  Styvo was a helluva fan and he will be missed.

It is with deep regret that I inform you that Steve Edward George, perhaps better known to you as styvo@yahoo.com, has passed away.  You are receiving this message from his sister, Gail George-Coppens on behalf of his beloved wife, Gera George and the heart-broken family he leaves behind. No doubt, your world will be a little duller and less-informed with Steve gone.  He was a word-smith of the highest caliber.  His way with words was matched only by his brilliant mind and his passion for his country.  He was a lover of animals and a hater of anything that threatens the integrity of our Republic.  He was a champion for those whose rights were being infringed upon and a menace to those who sought to take away the freedoms our Forefathers sacrificed to provide for us.

His death was sudden and unexpected; aside from a quote for which he was famous: “No one gets through life alive.† It is ironic that when one needs the perfect words to say, the one who was most capable of expressing an appropriate sentiment isn’t here to do so.  It is poignant that his last words were to his wife, and expressed his love for her and his contentment with their time together. He was a gift to us, too soon gone.

Farewell Steve Edward George, styvo@yahoo.com.

I have included his picture and a copy of a prayer he wrote and recited every morning.  It is a beautiful indication of who he was and who we should all strive to be.

Gail George-Coppens

Recived this this morning...

There is a memorial service on February 27 at 2:00 at the National Cremation Society on East Bay in Clearwater.  We will celebrate Stevie's life, including his love of the Bulls.
