Blouin was here to watch Pitt, which likely earned a Fiesta bid as the Big East champion and is expected to play Utah and Urban Meyer. But he was also asking a lot of questions about USF.

``A few years ago if you mentioned South Florida, people might not have really known who they were,'' he said. ``But when we told people back in Phoenix that we were coming here, everybody knew about them. It's all because they're going into the Big East. People are looking on them as something of a sleeping giant.''

we have regressed in last 3 years

1. We moved the ball on Pitt but as has been the case the last 24 months we shot ourselves in the foot.

2. If not for the gift TDs we gave Pitt the game wouldn't of gotten out hand and maybe not sapped the energy and confidence out of the players
