I think that if Carlton Mitchell runs an amazing 40 time (4.3ish), he can be a 2nd round draft pick. NFL loves the big play threat guy. Same for Murphy, tall fast corners are a premium.

This will be a fun draft to watch.

This will be a fun draft to watch.

CFN already has him going in the 3rd round with a possibility to move up with a strong combine:

Carlton Mitchell, WR South Florida

Measurables: 6-4, 212

Projection: 3rd Round

Good Move or Bad Move: Mitchell could quickly grow into the hot receiver prospect with the potential to go in the top 50 if the workouts go well. He has a nice blend of size and speed and he looks the part, but he'll have to prove to the general managers that he can be consistent and that he's not just a measurables guy. However, someone will love the idea of him as a deep threat No. 3 target.

http://cfn.scout.com/2/926915.html

They also mention JPP entering the draft early in that article:

Jason Pierre-Paul, DE South Florida

Measurables: 6-5, 260

Projection: Top 20 Overall

Good Move or Bad Move: George Selvie who? Pierre-Paul has the upside and the prototype end skills to blow everyone away once the poking, prodding, and workouts start to kick in. He's tall, strong, extremely athletic and extremely quick, but he's not going to be anyone's outside linebacker and he might only work well in a 4-3. Given a little time, he might be good enough to revolve a defensive front around.

1/20 Shrine Practice: Wednesday-East

Kion Wilson/OLB/South Florida: Wilson made several nice plays in coverage.  Good looking weak side candidate.

Risers and Fallers from East-West Shrine practices

Jan. 20, 2010

By Chad Reuter

The Sports Xchange/CBSSports.com

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Three days of intense practices at the East-West Shrine Game concluded Wednesday with prospects trying to make a lasting impression before many NFL scouts skipped town for a few days leading into next week's Senior Bowl.

Washington defensive end Daniel Te'o Nesheim continued to impress with his motor, while Penn State tight end Andrew Quarless looked fluid as a receiver and blocked with aggression. South Florida linebacker Kion Wilson was strong as a run-stopper in the middle. But those three solidified reputations they built during their careers.

Which players will shine at the Shrine?

Big East players jockey for draft position

By Aditi Kinkhabwala / SNY.tv

...Kion Wilson, LB, South Florida (6-2, 235): He had 95 tackles this year and Mayock said every time he popped in tape to watch South Florida's superstar ends -- Jason Pierre-Paul and George Selvie -- Wilson kept getting in the way. "I like him," Mayock said. "He's a tough guy, he comes downhill hard and he plays hard."

Wilson has great instincts, was an excellent run stopper this year and Scouts, Inc., said he also showed strong recognition skills in pass drills this past week. Projection: Fifth or sixth round.

Video story on Kion Wilson:

Wilson to start all-star game

Travis Bell    1 hr ago

Orlando, Fla. -- Kion Wilson is soaking up the practice experience for the East-West Shrine Game.

"I'm having a great time running around, being physical, being aggressive," Wilson said. "Doing what I love."

And he'll do whatever it takes to make a NFL roster. With nearly every head coach or general manager watching practice, Wilson wants to impress in any way.

"Special teams, backup, whatever it takes to get there I'm willing to do," Wilson said.

After leading USF with 105 tackles in 2009, Wilson will get one final shot to make a lasting impression.

He'll start at middle linebacker for the East team coached by new Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel.

"He's a nice-looking young man," Crennel said. "I'm encouraged by what I see."

"Going into the game, it's all or nothing," Wilson said. "This week of practice is the biggest week of my career so far."
