Yeah, one of my best friends is a professor up there and he lit up my cell phone until i called him back.  With them losing their DC to FSU, they think he's gone...

i dont mind if holtz ends up somewhere else AFTER USF. that means he's done well here, if he's moving on to bigger things. but that is so far down the road.... for now i just hope hes our man

Don't forget that East Carolina in general has A LOT of enmity towards USF. They've never beaten us in football, Seth Greenberg had some run-ins with students in Minges Coliseum, and many of their fans honestly think they were a better choice for the Big East than we were. (They're wrong about back then, but I think they're next on the list if the league expands again.) Taking Holtz away from them would really move that dislike to a whole new level.
