How long do you think it will last? And what's the absolutely latest you want a new HC announced? (A week after the firing? etc?)

They need to do it before National Signing Day, I think its Feb 4 so everyone knows who it is and the status of the assistants.

Boy, it would really suck if it took that long.  :-X

I'd say week end. The recruits dont only have to know who the coach is before NSD, they will have to feel comfortable with him. The recruits are going to have to look at other schools to prepare a contingency. If we don't have a coach soon, we're going to lose a lot of recruits. The new coach will have to re-recruit all of our commits.

By weeks end, do you mean by the end of today or next week?

I mean by the end of the week - Friday. I think that would be the latest, otherwise we're going to have a "missing class" in our roster.

There are only 3 weekends left before signing day.  At latest it should be next weekend.  All 3 weeekends were to be busy with official visits, so that may need to be compressed to 2 weekends.

Week from Wednesday (Jan. 20.)  That gives two weekends of recruiting.

Well that's like 3 weeks and I said it should be done by then, so 2 weeks, long enough to find out what is going to happen to the assistants, who if they are smart will keep the ones that are key to recruiting. But don't rush into a bad pick in a day or two, major mistake.
