This year you have no excuses for not showing up and participating in the BULLS roast Tent Village...  They used to charge everyone for everything, but in the spirit of involving everyone, you can now bring your own tent to support your chapter!!!  btw, The P.C.A.C. has won the spirit contest for the past 4 years straight... put that in your pipe and smoke it.  You think you can knock us down a notch or two???  BRING IT !  Details below.

EVENT: Alumni Association Bulls Roast Tailgate

TIME: Three hours prior to kick-off of the USF vs. Louisville game (time TBA)

PLACE: Fenced lot outside Gates A & B at Raymond James Stadium (north end zone side of the stadium)

 

BULLS ROAST

Q.  What is Bulls Roast?

A.  Bulls Roast is the USF Alumni Association’s largest annual tailgate party of the year, with over 2000 alumni and their families, friends, fans, community guests and USF students attending!  This year’s Bulls Roast will feature lots of green and gold fun along with a huge BBQ and beer, DJ music, USF spirit supplies, activities for all ages and scheduled appearances by the Herd of Thunder, Rocky and the USF Sun Dolls and Cheerleaders, as well as President Genshaft and Doug Woolard.  We’ll be in the same great location as last year, right outside of Gates A and B at RJS!

TENT VILLAGE

Q. What is Tent Village?

A. Tent Village features a row of tents arranged outside Bulls Roast’s main tent area to form a “villageâ€, while still being in the midst of all the event festivities.  Back by popular demand, the Tent Village area will again be open to the public (just the food area will be fenced in for paid Bulls Roast attendees).

Q.  What do groups do in Tent Village?

A. Some groups use their tent as a gathering and networking place.  Others use their tent to showcase and promote their accomplishments.  They set up displays, provide literature and giveaways and even offer games to Bulls Roast guests.

Q. What is the cost of a tent package in Tent Village?

A.  Rates vary according to tent size, number of tables/chairs, etc. but you may customize your Tent Village package any way you like. 

10’x10’ tent  $175.00

15’x15’ tent    $230.00

8 ft. banquet table  $8.50 per table

60†round table    $11.50 per table

Folding chairs  $1.50 per chair

Tablecloth for 60†round $12.50/ea.

Tablecloth for 8’ table $18.00/ea. 

All costs are incurred by your group.  The USF Alumni Association will handle all logistics and provide a large sign for your tent with your group’s name listed.

NEW!  We recognize that budgets are tight and would like to offer a NEW OPTION for Tent Village participants this year:  Bringing your own tent. 

• We would prefer that your tent top is white, green, tan or USF-branded.  Red or blue is OK if that’s all you have.  NO corporate logo or other sports team tent tops.

• You may also bring your own tables, chairs or rent through our vendor (see prices above).  Just remember that outside food, drink or coolers are NOT permitted in your tent due to Tampa Sports Authority rules.

• If you choose to bring your own tent, we still need to charge a small fee of $40 to cover the 8’ yellow sign that is standard for all our tents (unless you’ve participated in Tent Village during the past 3 years.  If you have, we have a sign for you if your  name hasn’t changed)

• Set-up and breakdown of your personal tent will be handled by your group.  Tents must be taken down by the start of the game and removed from the event site.  Rental tent set-up and breakdown is handled by the tent company.

Q. How much does a Bulls Roast ticket cost?

The Tent Village area of Bulls Roast is open to the public.  Please note that your

Tent Village reservation does not include any admission tickets into the food area of Bulls Roast.  Bulls Roast tickets must be purchased separately by you and/or your volunteers if you’re interested in partaking of the food/drink.   

Bulls Roast tickets will cost $35 for USF Alumni Association members and $10 for children (12 and younger) of Alumni Association members.

Non-member tickets will cost $45 for adults and $15 for children (12 and younger).

The USF student rate is $20.

Children 2 and under are admitted free.

Q. How do I order Bulls Roast tickets for the members of my group?

A. Tent Village participants have two options for food tickets.

Option one:

Members of your group may purchase tickets on their own at http://www.usfalumni.org/bullsroast or call 813-974-0338 beginning in September.  The advantage to having everyone register independently is that you don’t have to handle anyone’s money or tickets-it’s all handled for you by the USF Alumni Association.  Tickets will be mailed by the USF Alumni Association directly to the individual.

Option two:

We can assign a number of tickets to a representative from your group and that individual can handle the ticket sales for the entire group.  The representative then remits the amount due to the USF Alumni Association and we issue the tickets to that individual to distribute.  Any unsold tickets may be returned for a refund.

Q. How do I reserve a Tent Village package?

Q. What can I bring in to my tent at Bulls Roast?

A.  Permitted items include: balloons, decorations, tablecloths, literature, games, displays and additional banners/signage.

No outside food, drink or coolers are permitted in your tent due to Tampa Sports Authority rules.

TENT VILLAGE SPIRIT CONTEST

Q.  What is the Spirit Contest?

A.  Each year, the USF Alumni Association awards prize baskets, loaded with USF Bulls gear, to the three tents in Tent Village showing the most “USF spiritâ€.  We encourage you to incorporate lots of green and gold, balloons, banners, games, giveaways and this year’s “Hollywood†theme into your display.  This contest is lots of fun for both participants and Bulls Roast guests and gets wilder and more creative every year.  Plan on being a part of this annual tradition!

1st place  $175 basket and FREE Tent Village package for the following year (maximum tent size of 15x15)

2nd place  $125 basket

3rd place  $75 basket
