Friday nights to college heights: Moise Plancher

Plancher came on strong for USF last season

South Florida fifth-year senior tailback Moise Plancher is a 2005 Barron Collier High graduate.

Buried on USF’s depth chart early last season, Plancher came on strong.

He played in 11 games, made three starts and scored a team-leading six touchdowns while rushing for 322 yards on 69 carries. Coming into the season, he had just 43 yards on 14 carries.

Plancher posted those numbers despite being devastated by the death of his cousin, Ereck Plancher, a Lely graduate who was playing at Central Florida. After being redshirted in 2005, Moise Plancher suffered a season-ending knee injury in 2006.

The 22-year-old is the youngest of four brothers.

The Bulls will open their season Sept. 5 when they host Wofford.

EA Sports NCAA 10 has him a tad better then Taylor and not far behind Ford in ratings. And he sheds tackles like water in that game. Can't wait to see him again on the field.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
