USF Hosts Big Brothers Big Sisters Field Day

TAMPA - On August 1, the University of South Florida Department of Athletics teamed up with Big Brothers  Big Sisters to host a field day for Bay Area youth.

"We are so appreciative of this new partnership with USF Athletics and the Sports Day with student athletes and staff was a great way to kick it off," said Mike Trepper of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, Inc. "Our Bigs (mentors) and Littles (mentees) had a fun filled day and more importantly learned what a great resource USF is in our community!"

Fifteen student-athletes from five USF teams instructed kids in the basic fundamentals of soccer, golf, baseball and softball. After learning the basics, the kids participated in drills and games with the collegiate student-athletes.
