He had been getting treatment at Moffitt  Cancer Center here at USF, one of the best cancer research centers in the nation.

I can still see him banging his glove on his thigh...

Prayers for his family.

i hope they find a cure for some cancers soon

I remember seeing Tug play at Shea Stadium.  He was great entertainment, and I believe he exemplified the best in baseball.  He will be missed, at least as an example for the young players to emulate.
