Freshmen RBs

I know we have ridiculous depth at RB, but I was wondering if you think any of these incoming freshmen will see time? I know it is hard to tell since they haven't practiced with the team yet.

Will they all just end up redshirting? I'd love to see what Battles could do as a return guy. I always hated when we would have guys like Taurus back there. Too much injury risk.

Im interested to see demetrius murray can do. Interested to see if he's a power runner or more balanced

i am sure there will opportunity for freshman as it isnt like usf has any superstar rbs

I would think that Bradley Battles could play, but if Ford and Taylor stay healthy, he should redshirt.  Lindsey Lamar could play too, especially if Samuels or Erskin continue to have injury issues.  The more we can redshirt, the better.  But it looked to me like we could use some speed at several positions and some of these young bucks have that.

We are deep in numbers at RB. Probably no room this year for any of the freshmen. The only way one of the freshmen is not red-shirted is if they are a return specialist, but we have numbers in those places also. Injuries can change the depth in numbers.

As a general note freshmen at any position are not usually solidly impactful.

I would agree. No matter how bad you want to how someone will perform if there is depth then save the year of eligibility --- Unless we can do what they did with BJ

usf hasnt had a great rb in years

ofcourse there is opportunity for freshman

if not usf didnt recruit freshman that can replace the rb by committee approach by usf than we need new recruiters
