STORRS, Conn. (AP)—A co-captain of Connecticut’s football team was arrested after a fight at an off-campus apartment complex.

Linebacker Scott Lutrus, 21, of Brookfield was charged Thursday with interfering with an officer. According to arrest reports, Lutrus resisted and fought with officers who attempted to detain him.

He was released after posting a $500 bond and is due in Superior Court on May 5.

Lutrus, a two-year starter for the Huskies, made 107 tackles as a redshirt freshman and a team-high 106 tackles last season. Mike Enright, a spokesman for the athletic department, had no immediate comment.
