Actually, two people hold the record. Jason Elam kicked a 63 yard FG with Denver and Tom Dempsey kicked a 63 yard FG in the 70's. Tom had a club foot and did not use a soccer style kick.

I lived in Daytona when Sebastian Janikowski went to high school there and I am almost positive that he kicked a 63+ FG in High School.

You missed Tom Odle with D-II Ft. Hays St. who kicked a 67 yd FG vs Washburn in 1988 (tees were permitted until 1989).

Martin Gramatica kicked the longest FG without the use of a tee (65 yds) in 1998 (Kansas St vs N. Illinois). Bill Gramatica kicked the longest FG without the use of a tee in I-AA play (63 yds) in 2000 (USF vs Austin Peay).

But the longest collegiate FG was by Ove Johannson of Abilene Christian (not a NCAA member at the time) who kicked a 69 yard FG vs E. Texas St. on Oct. 16, 1976.

Kiz....I was just citing Div IA....I did not research the lower divisions.   Although I should have cited them.  My oversight.

Those college kicks came when college kickers were allowed to use a tee.
