it never was an excuse... at least not for rational, objective people.  lol.

penalties = lack of discipline.

lack of discipline = lack of strong coaching.

lack of strong coaching = no excuse to lose.

we have no one to blame but ourselves.

the most important component is that usf doesnt have the talent to overcome their penalties/mistakes like your better teams such as bearcats and usc

what's not to get?

having ****ty coaches isn't a valid excuse for why we lost.

they are our coaches.  our program has the ability to hire and fire coaches.

a valid excuse for losing are things that are beyond a team's control, like injuries.

our program controls who coaches our team.  if our reason for losing lies within our program, it is not a valid excuse.
