The soccer tournament field is set: USF is the #8 seed and will be playing the winner of the UMass/Harvard opening round matchup in Tampa at 7:30 on 11/25. A victory there will mean the Bulls' next opponent will be the victor from Loyola, Dook, and UNCG, which means there's an outside shot my alma mater will play my current employer.

The bracket here: http://www.ncaa.com/brackets/2008/ncaa_bracket_DI_soccer_men.html

I'm interested to see if the cold weather will have any effect on the squad.

Is it expected to be cold in Tampa over the next week or so? Because all of the matches of which I spoke would be on USF's home pitch.

The next match isn't for another eight days when it will be about the same as it was on Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

If USF gets past Harvard or UMass, do they host the round of 16 game?

I don't think so.  If its against Loyola then NO(we'd play in MD), but if its against anyone else in our Sub-Bracket then yes.

After that, its on the road...and if we get past the next two games, we'll have to go against the #1 seed in the Tourney.

You know...last years National Champion, Wake Forest.

Anyone heard of traveling for Away SOCCER games.  Cause this AMERICAN football thing just aint doin it for me.

GO BULLS!!!

I was under the impression we'd be at home regardless of who comes out of Loyo/Duke/UNCG? Loyola's the 9 seed, we're the 8, doesn't that give us home field?

And if we get on to a Final Four matchup vs. Wake at Wake, I'll definitely be there.
