I was at the game, so I hadn't heard the news the announcers mentioned before the game - Gregory had decided to bring more designed QB runs back into the scheme.

Here are the changes I found positive:

- Regularly rolling Grothe out

- Designed QB runs, but not too many

- Relying more on Taurus

- A screen

I almost forgot to add the screen.

They schemed it to Grothe's style. Yet he's looking a lot better since he is not forcing throws.

We actually got creative. We sent wr's in motion while the slot ran a slant and the defense was crossing and we had huge sideline yards. First time they opened it up like that.

It seemed like a pretty average performance against a pretty bad defense.  Nothing to get upset or enthused about IMO.

...coaches didn't make players drop key passes this game. Much improved over Pitt loss.

Granted, the players have to execute. However, I beg anyone to argue that this hasn't been the most creative, player-strength oriented, and unpredictable play calling yet this year. With the exception of a series or two with some stale plays that cost us the possession, the play calling was exceptional. I can't believe more people didn't find the play calling encouraging; wasn't that pretty much what we had all been asking for?

Better scheme. More options for Matt.

Still, he was the leading rusher. Granted we had a lot of guys handle the ball who totaled over 100 yards. I guess it's all good.

Now let's kick Louisville's butt and be ready for Cincy. That will decide how our season goes. Win at Cincy and we run the table.

I agree things looked better all over.  I was just frustrated I couldn't be there!  First game in 8 yr I missed!  So sick couldn't even get out of bed.  If you knew me you would understand I had to be sick to miss a game.  Cheered from the couch.  Even put the bull's clothes on.  I think the Louisvile game and Cincy will be the key factor in this year's standing.  We got to pull these out.  I am hoping!!
