Should Rutgers mail it in and start the youth movement?

0-3 with losses to UNC, Fresno, and NAVY (ouch).  looking at their players and how they were ranked as recruits, it seems like they have a lot of talent on their roster.

should they just mail it in and start playing the youngsters so they get experience?

if, for some reason, they run the table and win the big east, it will be Disastrous in terms of our conference legitimacy.  probably as bad as when Pitt won the big east with like an 8-4 record and got schooled by Utah with urban meyer/alex smith/paris warren

Yeah, I think that would be a good idea.

Lovelace out indefinitely

Rutgers backup quarterback Jabu Lovelace suffered a broken leg in practice Tuesday, and will be sidelined indefinitely, Scarlet Knights coach Greg Schiano said today.

Lovelace broke his leg in a non-contact drill and had surgery Wednesday to set the broken bone, according to Schiano.

“It’s a non-contact injury and it’s the lower (part of his leg),” said Schiano, who didn’t rule out the possibility that Lovelace could return before the end of the season.

So much for "breaking in" the new QB.  I thought Schiano would know that it's not a literal statement.

They shouldn't mail it in b/c they haven't lost a single conference game yet...  so they are in just as good a position as anyone else for winning the conference and getting a BCS auto-bid.  I don't think they can do it... but now is not the time to give up.
