we definitely need ot tighten up on 3rd down. Seems like they were converting on 3rd and 15+ all night long.

True.....THAT particular point I made is still valid.

Um, sorry MAB... it's not valid.

In the 1st quarter, they converted their first four third downs of 12,7,5 and 4.  When USF stopped them on third finally -3rd and 1 - , they kicked their first FG to go up 10-0.

In the 2nd quarter, they failed on all three third downs (6,10,& 4) and kicked two punts and another FG.

In the 2nd half, they failed on their first four third downs (12, 14, 11, & 10) and kicked three punts.

After USF went up 34-20, they came on fire - six straight conversions... making three 3rd downs on the first TD drive (6,1, & 7) with the third "conversion" an 18-yd TD.

KU completed one third down, a 3rd and 20, on their next TD drive.

They also completed their last two third downs (1 and 8 yards) before Nate Allen's INTs.

Not as bad as you may remember...

That reesing run on 3rd and 11 was awful. I just saw it on sports center and he had his knee down 3 yards short
