The red sux have lost 5 more games than us.  So  the rays can finish out the year losing 4 more games than the red sux and still win the division.  But what if the rays finish with 5 more losses than the red sux?  Who would take the division?  What's the tie-breaker in baseball?  Head to head?  Division record?  S.O.S?

I beleive they play a tie breaker (163rd game)... but i wouldn't worry about that scenario happening.

There is no tie breaker game if both teams are going into the playoffs (division and wildcard). At least that is my understanding of it. I also believe they decide who wins the division is either division record or head-to-head record.

You are probably right there as the last times I've seen a tiebreaker it was with the winner getting the wild card.

In that case, it would make sense that it is head to head first, then division.

There is no way they can tie head to head since they play 19 games against each other.
