Ponton had a lot of promise, and could have been a great replacement for Hall. It didn't pan out, but Simpson made his decision based on that I am sure.I wish him well, and as you said, BBQ probably won't get picked up, but think of the stats he could have racked up at a smaller school (or UCF and the C-USA defenses). If Simpson stayed and split carries, he would 100% be looking for a job or working on finishing his degree this summer, not getting a shot to play for the Colts. He was the man at Morgan State. He got his feature time and lots of film for the NFL scouts. Without that, odds are small that he advances further-- short of a complete turnaround at USF in how he was going to be used.as for Ben-- I can see him excelling in the arena league somehow-- he's got that low center of gravity thing that might work well there Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
