Getting Ready - Week 8

We're back!  Sorry about the interruption in service.  By request, the Getting Ready staff was busy editing Coach O'Leary's resume : :Bang...thus the three week hiatus.

Gather 'round all you crusty old alums (hey, that's me), week eight is Homecoming for the ol' alma mater.  Time for the Bulls to kick some orange fannie and party the night away.  It must really peeve Syracuse alums like Jim Brown, Larry Csonka, Donovan McNabb, 2/3 of ESPN's announcers and Sportscenter anchors that the 'Cuse is homecoming fodder for everyone else.  Someday, someone will turn that program around again.

The pre-Saturday games could be mildly interesting to Bulls fans since potential BCS interlopers are on the tube.  It may be worth it to watch these games.  Here goes.....

Thursday, October 16th

BYU @ TCU - It's on something called 'Versus' which means cheap extended basic cable goobers like me will not get to see it.  BYU is supposedly 'the one' from the Mountain West that could end up Top Ten this year.  They have to get by the Frogs in Fort Worth to do it.

Friday, October 17th

Hawaii @ Boise State - These two have sipped from the BCS cup recently.  One will be eliminated from the beauty pageant this year on ESPN on this Friday night.  If you love defense, avoid this game.

Saturday, October 18th

Syracuse @ USF - Homecoming at RayJay, lots of recruits, good times roll.

MTSU @ Louisville - If you like defense, commit suicide now .  Last year this one was like 60-50.  Maybe one of these teams will score 100 this year.

Memphis @ ECU - Who cares, but this one I call the Wannabe Bowl.   ;D

UConn @ Rutgers - Good Big East conference game.  This should be fun to watch.  I hope it's on in central Illinois on extended basic, of course.

Pitt @ Navy - Will Pitt be able to recover after we spank them the week before?
