on Julmiste.

Banks has proven time and time again that he is not capable of running this offense.  ( All the blame however does not fall on him.  Terrible play calling.)

Pat J. on the other hand has not been given the opportunity to see if he can run the offense or not.  He only played about a quarter against Tenn. Tech.  Not enough time for a young inexperienced QB to find a groove.  Against SC was even a worse situation.  CJL puts Pat J. in the game when we are behind by a fair margin and calls mostly pass plays.  There is nothing more fun on defense than to know when the other team is going to be passing the ball.  Just pin your ears back and go..

I feel our main offensive problem is play calling.  When we were still in the game against SC and had a 1st and 5 inside their territory and we called 3 straight pass plays.  It makes no sense.

Maybe the defense gave up 3 long TD passes because it is hard to simulate those plays in pratice, because our offense can't throw the deep ball.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel but I would love to see Pat. J. start and play to entire game to see what he is able to do.

Go Bulls beat TCWHO.

The New Big East has faired pretty well so far in out of conference play

Uconn barely beat Duke and lost to BC future ACC team

Rutgers beat Mich St (whose only win is vs C. Mich) and then lost to New Hampshire

Cuse got crushed by Purdue and beat Cinci (future BE team)

Cinci lost to OH st and Cuse

USF lost to USC

Louisville beat kentucky - good win

Pitt lost to Nebraska at home after southern piss beat them in Lincoln

WVU which is a top 10 team beat MD and is expected to cake walk through the rest of the season because the big east is pretty weak.

with the exception of WVU how good is the current or future big east?

Pat Julmiste started a few games last year (not all of these are PJ starts).  His stats so far as a Bull (from what I could find):

SOUTH CARLONA (USF lost 3-34)

  PJ was 2 of 10 for 7

TEXAS TECH (USF won 21-7)

 PJ was 4 of 6 for 23

MEMPHIS (USF won 21-6)

  PJ was 8 of 17 for 167

UAB (USF lost 19-22)

 PJ was 6 of 16 for 74, 3 INTs

ECU (USF won 38-37)

PJ was 4 of 6 for 15, 1 TD (take out his 10 yd TD and he was 3 of 5 for 5 yards).

CINCINNATI (USF won 24-17)

PJ was 5 of 12 for 67, 1 TD (take out his 36 yd TD and he was 4 of 11 for 31 yards).

CHARLESTON SOUTHERN (USF won 55-7)

PJ  2 of 7 for 72, 1 TD (take out his 53 yd TD and he was 1 of 6 for 9 yards).

ARMY (USF won 28-0)

  PJ was 1 of 1 for 7

In these games PJ is 32 of 75 (that's a 42.7% completion percentage) for 432 yards (13.5 yards per completion or 5.76 per attempt).  Take out his 3 TD's - yes a total of 3 career touchdown passes - take out his 3 TD passes and he is 29 of 72 for 333 yards (40.3% - 11.5 yds per completion, 4.6 yards per attempt).

If PJ doesn't have it yet -- then he'll never get it.

agree with the smazzman again

guachtte 2nd sting

banks 3rd string

give PJ 4-5 games to see if he 's got it , if he can't put guachtte in to see if he can compete next year with denson, hill, and grote

whatever you do get a new OC for next year
