As always (whenever ND plays someone not as "storied as them"), it is ND's home game.

Not quite fellas.  It is a Notre Dame home game but not really for the reason you suggest.  ND are the ones paying for the game, so obviously ASU is the away team.  ND always has had a presence in Texas with many Cotton Bowl games over the years, but the folks at ABC wouldn't let them play a Big 12 Team in the state of Texas without the game being aired on ABC.  Thats why ND had to go outside of the general region for a team.  They are doing a similar game in 2009 in San Antonio against Wazzou.  ND calls it barnstorming games, kind of a tribute to the past when they used to do this in the 40s and 50s.  Its harder to do it now with all of the TV contracts and such, but I guess they found one way around it.
