Robert Napier made a $360,000 mistake. When he disembarked from a passenger train earlier this year, the Briton left behind a 17th-century violin that is said to be worth $360,000.

"I put it on the luggage rack above my seat and when I got to Bedwyn, got off the train and I simply left it. I had my briefcase and coat, how I normally travel," Napier tells BBC News. "I've relived the moment. I think when I put it on the luggage rack I thought I couldn't possibly forget it, and I didn't want to appear different. I was trying to behave normally."

His insurer is offering a $20,000 reward for the safe return of the family heirloom.

"It's very sad. In fact, it's a disaster really. We are just praying it turns up," Clare Napier, his wife, tells the Daily Mail.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
