He wasnt cut though, he quit.  It is a good case. I am all for NFL guys holding out to get paid as the teams dont honor the contacts when the player does not perform to the teams expected production.  In sports where contracts are gaurenteed NBA, NHL, MLB, I hate guys that holdout as the club has to pay you everything if you are a stiff so you should honor until the end as you signed it.

If he comes back this year, he can't play anyway, as he's failed the Drug Test 3 times and that carries a mandatory 1 yr. suspension.

I fail to see the logic in him coming back right now.

I was thinking that he hates wandstadt. If he comes back this year he will have to sit out anyway and then he would probably be eligible next year and even though wayne is a dumbass I dont see how wandstadt could fool him into another season. Problem is that if rickey were  to sitout this year with a suspension, I am sure they would piss test the hell out of him and something tells me they would be looking a little harder for masking agents in his pee now.

kr-they can cut him  anytime hence he should be able to quit anytime and allparties assume risk of losing money

I agree. Reread my posts. I am all for NFL guys holding out if they outperformed their contract just because the teams have no problem cutting them if they dont live up to expectations.

BY stiffing the fins i mean if they sue him and actually win, he is going to file bankruptcy so they won't get the money owed to him.

I didn't say the dolphins would win, just an if they did scenario.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
