if there is such a HUGE waiting list ( i know its inflated) for tickets to bucs games, and the stadium is expandable from 65,657 to 75,000, why not expand it?

just curious as to the reasons... it seems like it would be sold out pretty quickly at 75k since there are 80k waitinglist.

They want the waiting list.  They temporarily expand it for the Superbowl.

I read a story in St Pete Times a year or more ago about the Bucs wait list.  It said many people have multiple entries on the wait list so it is not close to the actual size they say it is. The list is not binding.

by the size of the waiting list, mutliple entries or not, if they went and added 10k seats, they'd still have a waiting list.

The extra revenue from the seats should justify any cost for the expansion.

The waiting list is "110,000 and growing"........  ;)

that helps my point even more ;)

although that extra 30-35k probably only accounts for an extra 10k in actual listings, maybe.

Because when the Bucs tank and people jump off the bandwagon like rats on a sinking ship, the stadium will look even more empty.   ;D

I figured it has something to do with the Glazers not expecting to be there much longer so why would they want to push for expansion that would help out someone other than themselves  ::)

On the radio yesterday for the Hurricane Collection Sites outside the stadium, the Ron and Ian show were encouraging people to donate their beer money to the hurricane fund instead.  At one point, Ron said "The Glazers don't need any more money."

I heard Malcolm got offended and that there was a reprimand for that statment, since there is an official relationship between the Bucs and 620WDAE now.  Sad.
