It's not good for the Big East to be losing coaches to ACC mediocrities like Georgia Tech.

I know UConn's a tough place to win consistently, and that Edsall has ties to Georgia Tech, but come on... the Big East is building a base of young coaches who are committed to their schools. Edsall can become a part of the Leavitt/Rodriguez/Schiano braintrust that will decide Big East championships and Orange/Sugar Bowl trips for the next decade, or he can go to a 7-5 program and get fired for going 7-5.

He might be maxing out, though. UConn is still a basketball school and New England isn't really a recruiting hotbed. He had to find Lorenzen at a JUCO.
