Momp was injured ... nowhere near 100% of who goes to MLB. We'll know before the Spring.

I am going to say I'm only really concerned about 4 games...

1 at home:

Kansas (we'll take UConn and Rutgers)

3 on the road:

Cincy, WVU, Louisville

I think we should beat Louisville though... Cincy is just a tough team, quite possibly the closest thing to us as far as on-field play... And West Virginia - do we have their number? Do we just neutralize their speed that well? I don't know, should be a great game...

I don't really see the other teams on the schedule coming up and biting us...

how many more years will usf be a middle of the road big east team

Jeez, I know.  We have been nothing but mediocre since way back when we joined the conference in....lemme see.....2005.  By all rights we should have been champion by now.  Truthfully, I think that we should have been BE champ before we joined, but that's just ME.   ::)

And you are sooooo right, this Leavitt guy everyone is talking about has no skill whatsoever.  I mean, I don't even think he got his team into the national rankings faster than any other program in history from its inception, instead he let Boise St. beat him out by 1 whole year!!  I mean, cummon!   :D

Man, I would take pre-season top-25!  Just gimme a story that Jim and the guys can tell to all of the quality recruits in Florida and across the fruited plain.  ;)

DATES SUBJECT TO CHANGE - Strong chance Kansas will be opener on ESPN Friday Night.

Aug. 30 Tennessee-Martin

Sept.  6 at UCF

Sept. 13 Kansas

Sept. 20 at FIU

Sept. 27 at N.C. State

So, does this mean the Kansas game would switch with TN-Martin or would it be the week before?

unless we go into the tank like the three games this year.

our A game can compete against anyone in the country

our B game should beat 9 of the teams on our 2008 schedule.

but... we can lose anytime we turn the %$^%$ ball over.

Absolutely... But if we do show up with our A game for the big games and most of the others, we'll go undefeated IMO...

That's the key... Gotta be on your A game almost every week if you want a shot at the NC...

Wow fellas, looks like you guys are still genetically engineering down there pretty daggum good.  I foresee you guys having a great year.  I think your offense will be more of the more prolific ones next year due to experience coming back.  Defense looks like it might improve some, but when you win the bowl game, you will carry over a ton of momentum into the recruiting season and into next year.  I can see a preseason 18-20 ranking....easily.

Go Bulls, War Eagle

We should start the season in the latter half of the top 25.  Of course, there is also no reason why we shouldn't be around #20 right now.
