they had an interesting stat on sport center-- regarding the number of times Nebraska allowed 40+ points during the tenure of their last three head coaches.

Tom Osborne had 5 in 307 games from 1973-1997

Solich had 5 in 77 games from 1998-2003

Callahan had 11 in 49 games from 2004-current

I wonder how many the Bulls have had since inception.

ouch

I guess Nebraska won't be going after a poor coach like CJL

heh--- the Nebraska fan base has a strange attitude about it's program. Tom Osborne is partly to blame for that of course but when they fired Solich-- that was borderline Alabama

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
