I think we're ranked appropriately

If bc loses a close one to va tech they will probably remain ahead of us with just one loss to a top 10 team on the road. I agree the loser of ducks/trojans should drop out of the top 10

voters generally look kinder on teams losing earlier in the season rather than later.

unfortunately the AP poll is worthless.

Yep, you are right sir. I really like the BCS because it erases any bias towards our young program by having the computers vote as well. We could jump right back in there this week if Arizona State loses to Cal ( They more than likely will) which will put us at 4 in the computers.

Looks right to me.  Top 5 teams should have consistency on offense/defense/special teams.  We're not firing on all cylinders at the moment.  Top 5 teams score when it's necessary.  Boston College is in our spot this week and I don't see them winning against Va Tech.  For that matter, Ohio State will have it's hands full with Penn State.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
