It was a great run but when you have a machine running on 1/3 of cylinders it surely must fail. Love the special teams and offense in a Corky from  Life Goes On kind of way. The defense had a three great games but folded like a table facing Rice. 1-1 in the Big East; heres hoping we finish with a winning record in Conference play. Can we hire MORE and better defensive coaches again next year while still under staffing the offense and special teams? Its like we are an anorexic, we know that there is a problem but we cant identify it so we keep hiring defensive specialist and leave our offense (aka the problem) bare boned. On second thought run, run, throw up a prayer could still work if its executed well.  >

If the first two runs in your formula were actually effective runs then you wouldn't need to throw up a prayer.  I still feel that without Ford in the backfield we have the same offense we had last year which is Grothe must do most if not everything.  Rutgers keyed on him and shut us down.
