must be very great now that the giants just squandered their lead in the NL west... Padres to take the lead tonight, and LA 1/2 game back by end of night

giants have finished ahead of dodgers 7 straight years

World Series since 1980:

LA Dodgers:  2 wins, 0 losses

San Francisco Giants:  0 wins, 2 losses

7 years in a row, yet not a WS title to show for it.

uei- you don't understand the game, standings or what it takes to do well in baseball.

I understand that the Dodgers have two World Series Championships since 1980, and that the Giants have none.   ;D

Why is smazz a Giants fan anyway?? He lives in LA ........ or does it go back to when they were in NY? Of course, he's a Cowboys' fan, too, so who the Hell knows what's behind THOSE thought processes ......

Yep, i've been there once for a computer conference... USF paid for me to go in 1999 i believe, maybe 2000.

It was nice, but i didn't have much time to see the sights, never saw the GG bridge and much to my regret, we never made it over to the pier.

I did get to see old candlestick park on the drive from the airport to downtown.  Landing in that airport feels like you are going to crash in the mountains.

So Smazz, since your parents were a NY Giants fan and it carried over to you... do you comtemplate giving up allegience anytime the Giants don't win the series, which is yearly?

If not, then maybe you can understand why I would NEVER give up allegiance to my sox, bulls, pats, celts, bruins.

Team pride runs very deep, even in a losing season.

Luckily this year is not a losing season thus far... 6 behind and closing... wild card lead increasing.  Things are great in sox land and yankee land right now... making for a great pennant race and playoff to come.
