If we don't get to the BCS game, I hope USF places 2nd in the conference. And would love to see FSU to plce 3rd. That would mean they would meet in the Gator bowl. Since FSU wants to run from us, let the season play itself out. They won't be able to run from that. And if USF beat them, it would be official. That USF would be one of the big four in the state.

As been stated before, the Gator Bowl picks second.  It's not always the second place team.  The third place team and/or Notre Dame would have to have 2 or more losses than we do for the Gator Bowl to be, "forced" to take us.

The Gator Bowl will not take us for at least 2-3 more years.

If we come in 2nd or 3rd, we have a better chance of meeting FSU or Miami in the Meineke Bowl than the Gator Bowl.  Where we finish has little bearing on getting chosen for the bowl games.  The Gator Bowl doesn't have to choose the 2nd place team.  They get the 2nd choice of the bowl qualified teams.
