26. South Florida  2006 Record: 9-4

The program proved it could hang with the big boys last year, and now it'll make its big move with QB Matt Grothe leading an experienced offense that gets the entire line back. The defense takes a bit hit at linebacker losing Stephan Nicholas and Pat St. Louis, but eight starters return. Now the team will have to learn how to deal with expectations.

We do return an experienced Offense.

And I do think we have a more talented group of RB's.

I also think we will see better production outta the WR's & TE's.

Sure he does.... USF returns its 2006 starting RB - who was also the PJC Bowl MVP.

B. Williams is an experienced RB.  He might not be the starter but he is Experienced.

Also, note that these are CFN posts from back in January of 2007... these aren't something new, so things developments like Mike Ford and Tyrone McKenzie could not have been included.

the poll is about 5 places to dated.  I believe the Sporting News is right on at 21.  We may crack top 15 when we are 6-0 going into New Jersey State University on 10/18.
