No doubt the game plan is built around our experienced upperclassmen in the paint.  Many would not expect to see it built around two freshman PGs - one of which has been rehabbing injuries for the past two years.   Dare I say "Capko" and set off you and your ilk?  Just think in a couple years the two you criticize will be juniors and taking over games.

I watched every single minute of the game.  I don't think you did.

The game I watched had Howard driving to the basket.

So what have I made up.

That anybody has called him a prolific scorer ..... Pay attention, ari .... READ!

Ari, he is a freshman point guard.  turnovers are going to happen.

he will always lead the team in turnovers because he handles the ball the most.

as for the fact that he has played in more than a few games,  well its going to take a full year before he gets completely healed from 2 ACLs and even then, he wont be as quick as he was when he signed with us.

i would prefer to have our leading scorer be our big man and not a guard.

otherwise, all we would see would be the box-in-1 and with the size of most teams in the big east we would get killed on the boards.

as it is, we just spread the floor and run a motion offense and attack the glass.  buckley does a good job of shooting of a screen.  one area that we do really need to improve on would be the pick and roll with gransberry, seems like just about everytime we try it there is a TO.  but when your 2 guards are freshman your going to get that.

1-3 from the 3 point isnt bad.  Its 33%, thats about average.  But he has a very good jump shot just doesnt take it enough.  I think Chris knows his game is more controlling the game and he is trying to be the quarterback right now.  I, too, thinks he needs to get more aggressive.  You dont see hiim take his defender off the dribble drive to the lane, and make the big mans defender come over for to help, then dish it for the dunk.  I am hoping he is just getting a feel for the team and the game mac wants him to play.  i also just hope mac has a good gameplan for him and i hope chris isnt overhyped.  Time wil tell.

What the heck does free throw percentage have anything to do with an ability to drive to the the basket...

And are you telling me 11th in the conference in turnover to assit is something to brag about.  He is behind 9 other guards.

Brad -- there is only 16 teams.

and from what i have seen so far..  i think that james kid from Marquette is the best guard in the conference.

He is the one that made that beautiful lay-up drive with 20 seconds to go to tie the game.

We don't have anyone that is capable of that.

Only showing you where the frosh has contributed...it was faster than showing the boxscores where he did add 20+ points to the game.

Well they don't just list one guy per team Ari - come on, you're smarter than that.  Look more closely at the numbers he is #11 in the conference.  Not the best, but a long ways from being the worst.  Second highest rated freshman in the league too.  WVU and GU each have two guys listed in there...
