If we can pull off 5 or 6 wins and an impressive showing in our first rd Big East Game than CRM deserves to stay.

So you're waiting to see how the season turns out before making an ultimate decision on Mac ..... Interesting.

No, I think his decision has already been finalized.  He'll still want him gone, it's just that the coach will deserve another year.

I don't think he will reach these goals but if he does he deserves another year to prove himself.

Make no mistake, 3 wins in the BIG EAST this season wont save his job. McCullum is going to have to get his team to the BIG EAST tourny to save his job this year. We will need at least 5 or 6 BIG EAST wins to make it.

I would hope so, but I also didn't think he'd survive last year after winning a total of 5 conference games in 4 years.

That's why they play the games. It will be an uphill battle all they way for sure, but it would be interesting to see what the reaction would be if the team were to succeed enough to make the Big East tournament.
