UConn-West Virginia Football Game To Kick off on ESPN at 7:30 p.m.

STORRS, CONN. - ESPN and the BIG EAST Conference announced on Friday that the University of Connecticut’s football game against West Virginia on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. The announcement means that the kickoff times have now been determined for three of UConn’s four live national television appearances in 2004 on the ESPN family of networks.

UConn will make its BIG EAST and national-TV debut on Friday, Sept. 17, when they travel to Chestnut Hill, Mass. to face Boston College at 8:00 p.m. on ESPN2. UConn’s BIG EAST home opener, against Pittsburgh, on Thursday Sept. 30 at Rentschler Field, will start at 7:00 p.m. and will also be broadcast by ESPN2.

The Huskies, entering the 2004 season on the heels of a 9-3 campaign in 2003, will have a fourth national television appearance on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, when the team travels to Piscataway, N.J. for a game against Rutgers. ESPN2 will broadcast that contest, but the kickoff time has not been announced as of yet.
